Nervous!

I've literally been a ball of nerves for a little while now. This coming election is going to be a doozy. I can sense riots and suicides in our future.

Ron Paul, where have you gone?

Doesn't he just look like somebody's grandpa? Dontcha just want to write his name in on your ballot?

I'm really just tired of the childishness and "no I didn't, yes you did, no I didn't" feel of this election year.

AND, one of the doctors I work for keeps asking me if I "woted" yet. Yeah, he has a problem with those darn v sounds. If I don't wote, I'll never hear the end of it. How's it's my "civic duty" and my "responsibility as an American citizen." What if I just don't like the two losers running? Huh!? How about that, Dr?

Ok, so that was a little childish. Somebody help me out. Who is the lesser of two evils? Who should I pick?

I've decided to write-in vote for the reanimated undead zombie corpse of Ronald Reagan. All we need is a Die-Hard battery and a set of jumper cables attached to his nipples.

Worst case, nothing happens and we have to endure four years with some brain-dead stiff in the white-house (sound familiar?). Best case, we're successful and he roams the countryside drinking the blood of the socialists. Either way, I see a win-win.

Reagan/Lincoln '08!

An estimated 25,000 American Revolutionaries died during active military service. These men died to secure America's freedom including voting privledges.

"In the 1800s, women in the United States had few legal rights and did not have the right to vote. This speech was given by Susan B. Anthony after her arrest for casting an illegal vote in the presidential election of 1872. She was tried and then fined $100 but refused to pay." Women like Susan B. Anthony worked to secure the women's right to vote. You vote to honor her.

Love you,
Steven

I think you should tell him you did wote and if he asks for who/whom, tell him that's why its a secret ballot.

Cant tell you who to vote for, but I can tell you who NOT to vote for ..

Suldog wrote a piece awhile back about the fact that unless you're in a swing state voting for either party against the other party doesn't send a message. For example, Kentucky is so red it's amazing they allow UK's colors to be blue and white. So my voting for Obama really won't send a message to anybody. But voting for someone like Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich (who I actually prefer over anyone) will send a message to the reigning parties that we're mad as heck and not going to take it anymore. Suldog of course said it better than I did.

Yeah, I agree with Janet. You apparently live in Tennessee, and if that's the case, voting for a third party candidate who you actually like is a legitimate option—it looks like your state will go to McCain no matter who you vote for.
